                                                Basketball Winter 2022

Our programs depend on volunteer and paid coaches. If you are interested in making a positive impact on our community and like to have fun please contact the Parks and Rec office (970) 349-7197!

This is a recreational league with an emphasis on skill development. Teams are coed. Details on each age group are below:

1st/2nd - Group practices will develop skills in dribbling, passing and shooting. Some scrimmages may be played and teams will be formed at random.

3rd/4th - Practices will develop skills in dribbling, passing, shooting and general game play. Teams will be mixed and there will be a light game schedule in house (if numbers allow) and against Gunnison.

5th/6th  - Teams will be evenly formed by coaches. There will not be A & B teams. Games will be scheduled in-house and against Gunnison. Dates and times will be announced as soon as they are available.

7th-8th Grade, 3v3 - Twice a week, players will meet at Jerry's Gym to participate in 3v3 games in house. Teams will be assigned each session based on attendance. This program is designed to give middle school kids an opportunity to play more basketball throughout the winter months. 

Registration for Winter Basketball opens December 6th @ 9am.

Scholarships are available! The deadline for scholarships is 1 week prior to the sessions start. Clickherefor the application or contact Parks and Rec for more info.
