Come learn to skate! Level 1 - Basic instruction for beginners wanting to get comfortable on the ice. Skills will include; falling/standing up on the ice, marching, gliding. Level 2- swizzles, two and 1 foot glides, backwards skating, beginner stroking Level 3-stroking, backwards power skating, beginner jumps & spins. All skaters must be at least 4 years old by the first lesson (1/7/2022)Registration for Ice Skating Lessons open December 6th @ 9am.Helmets are strongly recommended. Bike or ski helmets are acceptable.Skate rentals are included with registration and must be checked out at the Nordic Center before each class. The programming is built around 1 "weather day" where the rink may need to be closed due to snow, frigid temperatures or melting ice. If all sessions run, there is no additional fee. **We need coaches for this program to run, please reach out to Parks and Rec (970) 349-7197 if you are interested in facilitating fun!**  Scholarships are available for those who need them.
