Key Points
Amenities & Considerations
  • Accessible plumbed, heated, and lit restrooms. This is sufficient for events with less than 150 people. If you are expecting to exceed 150 people, you must rent additional portable toilets.
    • Restrooms are cleaned and stocked once daily. Additional cleanings are not scheduled during events. You may clean/stock the restrooms on your own.
    • Restrooms remain open to the public at all times.
  • Limited electricity is available on the back exterior wall of the restroom building. The 20 Amp socket provides limited power.
    • If you are planning on high draw electrical systems (DJ, band, heat, etc.) you must use the 50 Amp outlet with an appropriate power distribution system. Electrical overloads requiring staff attention will result in loss of deposit and charge for damages.
  • A hose bib with potable water is available on the back exterior wall of the restroom building.
  • Wedding Gazebo with each section measuring 5’ to make the inside diameter 11’6”.
  • Parking is permitted in the lot and adjacent public rights of way. The lot is not included in the rental and remains open to the public.
  • Irrigation is shutoff for the duration of the event.
    • Buried irrigation lines are marked. Parties will be charged for damaged irrigation lines.
  • The Town does not provide or rent tents, tables or chairs. Check the Crested Butte Gunnison Wedding Guide webpage for vendors. All vendors must have a Town of Crested Butte Business License.
  • Tommy V Field - Tommy V Field (base/softball) is adjacent to the Event Area. Activities may be scheduled any time. Send a schedule of events to the department to reduce conflicts. The greater park area is open to the public.

General Rules
Clean-Up Deposits: Failure to abide by the rules will result in deposit withholding. If the facility is in disarray when your event begins, notify the PROST Department immediately or you will be held responsible, 970-349-7197 or recreation@crestedbutte-co.gov.
  • All trash/refuse must be removed the night of the event. Failure to remove & bear proof trash is a violation of Section 7-5, Division 3 of the Crested Butte Town Code.
  • Dogs are not allowed on Tommy V Field at any time.
  • Motor vehicles are permitted in the designated load in area ONLY.
  • Large tents using stakes are permitted in marked areas only. See Event Area Map. Tents are not permitted on Tommy V Field. Renters will be held responsible for broken irrigation lines due to tent stakes.
  • Bonfires/Camp Fires/Fire Pits, etc. are not permitted.
  • Only materials that will not leave marks may be used for decorating the gazebo.  Wire works well to hold decorations, no nails or screws.
  • Alcohol consumption shall be in accordance with the liquor code of Colorado.
  • If there will be amplified sound, Crested Butte Town Code Section 10-9-50 must be followed.
    • All quiet by 10:00 pm
    • Point speakers east or south (away from adjacent neighborhoods)
    • 100 Decibel Max Limit
