Big Mine Ice Arena is a unique outdoor covered event area located just 2.5 blocks from downtown Crested Butte. A hockey rink in the winter and a great facility for large events in the summer, Big Mine is a wonderful year-round amenity. The covered arena guarantees your event will be a success, rain or shine. |

- 100 or fewer people- $50/hour
- 100-299 people- $300/day
- Up to 499 people-$500/day or $1200 for 3 day rental.
- Winter Rates-Ice Time
- $165/hour, Ice Time slots require 1.5 hour minimum.
Reservation Requests must be made within 1 week (minimum) of desired date. |
| Amenities |
- 26,000 square feet, covered outdoor facility.
- Electricity is available throughout the facility with weatherproof GFIs at each building column.
- One 50 Amp outlet is available at the electrical panel in the southeast corner of the building.
- One potable water hose bib located on the north side of the Nordic Center Warming House.
- Paved parking area at Big Mine Park has 48 head-in spaces including two (2) ADA spaces.
- The use of the interior of the Nordic Center Warming House is not included in the Big Mine Ice Arena facility reservation.
- The hockey dasher boards will remain installed at the facility throughout the summer.

Amenities
- Electricity is available on each building column on 110v 15 amp GFCI protected breakers.
- One 50 amp outlet is available by request. This must be used for any high draw electrical components.
- The paved parking area adjacent the rink is public and does not come with the rental. Spaces may be used by those attending events at Big Mine and the public.
- Potable water is accessible on the Nordic Center Warming House, zamboni shed, and at the exterior bathroom adjacent the Nordic center. .
- Dasher boards remain in place throughout the summer.
Additional Rules
- Open flames of any kind are prohibited in the Big Mine Ice Arena.
- Portable toilets may be required in addition to the exterior accessible bathroom in the NW corner of the rink area.
- Occupancy numbers include all persons inside the facility.
- All trash must be disposed of properly by the renter. This may require an agreement for services with local waste providers.
- Crested Butte Town Code for noise regulation must be followed. See 10-9-(10-90) of the code.
- Any Alcohol consumption will comply with the liquor code of Colorado.
- Sales tax must be collected in accordance with Town Code.
- Payment in full and special event application approval (when necessary) is required prior to your rental being confirmed.
